Marcus Ulstett II (o Marcus Ulstet el Joven) (1494–1556). Fue un prominente patricio, consejero y Duunviro (alcalde / gobernador de la ciudad) de la República libre imperial de Augsburgo.

El retrato sigue el modelo clásico del patriciado renacentista alemán, mostrando al personaje de tres cuartos con vestimentas de alta dignidad (capa forrada de piel y gruesas cadenas de oro al pecho, símbolos de su rango civil y económico).
La orla decorativa de estilo manierista/barroco temprano incluye una rica genealogía heráldica a través de los blasones de sus alianzas familiares o ascendencia:
The portrait follows the classic model of the German Renaissance patriciate, showing the subject in three-quarter view wearing high-ranking attire (a fur-lined cloak and thick gold chains across the chest, symbols of his civil and economic status).
The decorative border, in the Mannerist/early Baroque style, includes a rich heraldic genealogy through the coats of arms of his family alliances or ancestry.

Escuela alemana (Augsburgo), caracterizada por la precisión matemática del tramado cruzado (cross-hatching) para generar los volúmenes de las telas pesadas y las texturas de la piel, y un modelado del rostro mediante líneas concéntricas finas que siguen los rasgos anatómicos. La tipografía grabada en el óvalo muestra capitulares limpias y monumentales de influencia clásica.
The German school (Augsburg) is characterized by the mathematical precision of cross-hatching to generate the volumes of heavy fabrics and the textures of skin, and by modeling the face with fine concentric lines that follow anatomical features. The typography engraved in the oval displays clean, monumental capitals of classical influence.
