Georges Abbot fue un arzobisplo Anglicano, degano de Winchester obispo de Londres y Lichbield , arzobispo de Canterburry y tres veces vicerectort de Oxford, tradujo el nuevo testamento del latín al ingles e intervino activamnente en la traducciṕn de la bíblia.
Georges Abbot was an Anglican archbishop, Dean of Winchester, Bishop of London and Lichfield, Archbishop of Canterbury and three times Vice-Chancellor of Oxford. He translated the New Testament from Latin into English and was actively involved in the translation of the biblie.
