The series engraved from Le Sueur's paintings was started mainly by François Chauveau and Charles Simonneau at the end of the 17th century, and reissued extensively throughout the 18th century (by publishers such as the widow of François Chéreau)

es una representando el reencuentro de unos caballeros con un coche de caballos y una dama entre otros personajes.

ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY :

Muestra un encuentro de corte histórico o mitológico en un entorno boscoso e idealizado. Un personaje con armadura clásica romana y un prominente casco empenachado cabalga junto a un carruaje o carroza de gala ricamente decorada y protegida por un palio o sombrilla.
Personajes:
Dentro del carruaje se aprecian figuras femeninas con tocados elaborados y vestiduras nobles. En la parte delantera y al fondo de la comitiva, otros jinetes armados y soldados a caballo custodian el trayecto.
It depicts a historical or mythological encounter in an idealized, wooded setting. A figure in classical Roman armor, wearing a prominent plumed helmet, rides alongside a richly decorated ceremonial chariot or carriage, protected by a canopy or parasol.
Characters:
Inside the chariot, female figures with elaborate headdresses and noble attire can be seen. At the front and rear of the procession, other armed riders and mounted soldiers guard the route

(François Chauveau invenit et fecit), lo que indica que el reconocido artista y grabador francés François Chauveau (1613–1676) tanto concibió o dibujó la composición (invenit) como la grabó él mismo en la plancha (fecit).

Chauveau, nombrado Graveur du Roi (Grabador del Rey) por Luis XIV en 1662, fue un prolífico ilustrador del siglo XVII famoso por sus viñetas, frontispicios e ilustraciones para obras literarias clássicas, novelas heroicas de la época (como las de Mademoiselle de Scudéry) y crónicas de festejos cortesanos (como el famoso Carrousel de 1662).

This engraving is signed in the lower center as "F. Chauveau inv. et fec." (François Chauveau invenit et fecit), indicating that the renowned French artist and engraver François Chauveau (1613–1676) both conceived or drew the composition (invenit) and engraved it himself on the plate (fecit).
