Este grabado representa la parábola bíblica del Buen Samaritano (Lucas 10:25-37). En primer plano, un samaritano con turbante se arrodilla para ayudar al viajero herido que yace en el suelo, con una pequeña jarra (probablemente aceite o vino para curar heridas) colocada cerca. Junto a ellos se encuentra un caballo ensillado con una crin abundante y ondulada. Al fondo, a lo largo del sinuoso sendero de montaña, dos figuras —que representan al sacerdote y al levita que pasaron por el otro lado— se pierden en la distancia.

This engraving depicts the Biblical parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37). In the foreground, a turbaned Samaritan kneels to assist the wounded traveller lying on the ground, with a small jar (presumably oil or wine for dressing wounds) placed on the earth nearby. Next to them stands a saddled horse with a prominent, flowing mane. In the background along the winding mountain path, two figures—representing the priest and the Levite who passed by on the other side—recede into the distance.

Parábola del Buen Samaritano. Entre los elementos clave se encuentran el hombre herido en el suelo, el samaritano que lo atiende, un pequeño recipiente/vasija, el caballo destinado a transportar a la víctima y las figuras del sacerdote y el levita que se alejan en el fondo a la izquierda.

Parable of the Good Samaritan. Key attributes include the injured man on the ground, the Samaritan tending to him, a small vessel/jar, the horse intended to carry the victim, and the receding figures of the priest and Levite in the left background.
