Este tipo de estampas de formato mediano-pequeño solía formar parte de series de santorales ilustrados, calendarios litúrgicos grabados (como los editados en los talleres de los Galle y los Collaert en Amberes) o como frontispicios e ilustraciones exentas insertas en crónicas eclesiásticas del siglo XVII.
These types of medium-small format prints were usually part of illustrated saints' calendars, engraved liturgical calendars (such as those published in the workshops of the Galle and Collaert families in Antwerp) or as frontispieces and freestanding illustrations inserted in 17th-century ecclesiastical chronicles.
