Michael Dietelmaier lleva un cuello de gorguera blanco, grande y con muchos pliegues. Si bien esta moda se originó en el siglo XVI, los patricios, el clero y los altos funcionarios de Núremberg lo conservaron estrictamente como atuendo formal y ceremonial (Amtskleidung) hasta bien entrado el siglo XVIII.
Sostiene un pequeño libro encuadernado en cuero (probablemente un libro de oraciones, una Biblia o, posiblemente, un libro de contabilidad administrativo oficial), lo que confirma su identidad como un funcionario culto y piadoso.
Lleva una peluca formal, empolvada y con rizos apretados, típica del Barroco tardío y el Rococó temprano.

La lámina presenta un nítido grabado en cobre (Kupferstich), caracterizado por un preciso tramado cruzado que crea profundidad en el fondo y líneas finas y fluidas que capturan las texturas de la gorguera y la rica tela de sus vestiduras muy caracteristica de la escuela de Nuremberg activa durante el periodo de transición entre el barroco i el rococó.
The print features a crisp copper engraving (Kupferstich), characterized by a precise cross-hatching that creates depth in the background and fine, flowing lines that capture the textures of the ruff and the rich fabric of her garments, very characteristic of the Nuremberg school active during the transition period between the Baroque and Rococo.
