La Santísima Trinidad es el principal dogma en la mayoría de Iglesias Cristianas fundamentado en el misterio de un solo Dios en tres personas divinas distintas, el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo.

Por las dimensiones físicas apreciables y la tipología de la orla que enmarca la composición, este grabado probablemente sirvió como frontispicio o ilustración a toda plana de un tratado teológico, un libro de oraciones o una crónica devocional impresa a finales del siglo XVI o principios del XVII.

Judging by its appreciable physical dimensions and the typology of the border that frames the composition, this engraving probably served as a frontispiece or full-page illustration of a theological treatise, a prayer book, or a devotional chronicle printed in the late 16th or early 17th century.

La técnica combina de forma precisa el aguafuerte para las texturas del paisaje y el buril para definir los pliegues estofados del hábito, las carnaciones y las ráfagas de luz celestial.

The technique precisely combines etching for the textures of the landscape and burin to define the gilded folds of the habit, the flesh tones and the bursts of celestial light.

• Figura central:

• Representa a San Benito de Nursia arrodillado en actitud de oración ferviente o éxtasis místico, con los brazos abiertos hacia el cielo. Viste el hábito benedictino de amplias mangas.

• 
  

• Atributos y entorno:

• A la izquierda, sobre lo que simula ser un altar de roca rústica, se observan una cruz de madera y un libro abierto (muy probablemente la Regla de San Benito o el propio breviario). El fondo rocoso y montañoso evoca parajes ligados a su vida eremítica y cenobítica, como Subiaco o Montecassino.

• Dimensión celestial:

• En la parte superior, entre nubes, se abre una visión divina compuesta por cabezas de querubines alados que circundan un triángulo radiante con un círculo central, representación iconográfica clásica de la Santísima Trinidad.

• Central figure:

• It depicts Saint Benedict of Nursia kneeling in fervent prayer or mystical ecstasy, with his arms outstretched towards heaven. He wears the Benedictine habit with its wide sleeves.
  Attributes and setting:

• To the left, on what appears to be a rustic rock altar, are a wooden cross and an open book (most likely the Rule of Saint Benedict or his own breviary). The rocky, mountainous background evokes places associated with his eremitic and cenobitic life, such as Subiaco or Monte Cassino.
  Celestial dimension:

• At the top, amidst clouds, a divine vision unfolds, composed of winged cherub heads surrounding a radiant triangle with a central circle, a classic iconographic representation of the Holy Trinity.

La última cena es la ultima comida que según los evangelios Jesús compartió con sus apóstoles antes de ser crucificado, La Santa Cena es uno de las representaciones bíblicas mas representadas en la historia del arte, siendo la escena mas común la representación de Jesús en el centro bendiciendo el pan y el vino rodeado de sus discípulos.

The Last Supper is the last meal that  according to the gospels Jesus shared with his apostles before being crucified. The Saint Supper is one the most represented biblical representations in the history of art, being the most common scene the representation of Jesus in the center blessing the bread and wine surrounded by his disciples.
