José II de Hagsburgo fue un archiduque austriaco del siglo XVIII y luego emperador del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico de 1765 a 1790, rey de Hungría (1780-1790) y rey de Bohemia (1780-1790). Ascendió al Trono en 1765 tras la Muerte de Su Padre el Emperador Francisco I del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico
Sus contemporáneos lo admiraban por su gran cultura y por su habilidad para gobernar, incluso muchos historiadores modernos lo consideraban un genio.
Joseph II of Hagsburg was an 18th-century Austrian archduke who later served as Holy Roman Emperor from 1765 to 1790, as well as King of Hungary (1780–1790) and King of Bohemia (1780–1790). He ascended the throne in 1765 following the death of his father, Holy Roman Emperor Francis I.
His contemporaries admired him for his great culture and governing ability; indeed, many modern historians have considered him a genius.

Joseph II of Habsburg-Lorraine, Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria. He is depicted in a left-facing bust portrait within an oval border decorated with garlands of flowers and laurel, set upon an architrave-style plinth featuring the double-headed imperial coat of arms at the base.

Jeab Louis Barbier se formó en dibujo en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Rouen bajo la tutela de Jean-Baptiste Descamps, instalándose posteriormente en París para formarse como grabador en el taller de Jacques-Philippe Le Bas. Durante las décadas de 1770 y 1780 ejecutó e interpretó diversos retratos e ilustraciones de acontecimientos contemporáneos en París. Su firma habitual en plancha es "Barbier Sculp." o "Le Barbier le jeune".
Jean Louis Barbier he trained in drawing at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen under the tutelage of Jean-Baptiste Descamps, later settling in Paris to train as an engraver in the workshop of Jacques-Philippe Le Bas. During the 1770s and 1780s, he produced and interpreted various portraits and illustrations of contemporary events in Paris. His customary signature on the plate is "Barbier Sculp." or "Le Barbier le jeune".
