Clotario III, nacido en el año 652, era el primogénito de los tres hijos de Clodoveo II Fue rey de Neustria y de Botgoña desde el año 657 hasta su muerte el año 673 y rey de los francos baja la tutela de su madre Batilda y de Ebroín, mayordomo de palacio.
Clotaire III, born in 652, was the eldest of Clovis II's three sons. He was king of Neustria and Botgona from 657 until his death in 673 and king of the Franks under the guardianship of his mother Bathilda and Ebroin, mayor of the palace.

Anacronismo histórico en las fechas:
El grabado indica que murió en el año 668 tras 13 años de reinado. La historiografía moderna ha corregido estos datos documentando que Clotario III falleció en realidad hacia el año 673 a los 20 o 21 años de edad, habiendo ascendido al trono de Neustria y Borgoña en el 657 bajo la regencia de su madre, la reina Batilda. Este tipo de divergencias cronológicas son muy habituales y representativas en la producción de estampas históricas de los siglos barroco e ilustrado.
Historical Anachronism in Dates:
The engraving indicates that he died in 668 after a 13-year reign. Modern historiography has corrected this information, documenting that Chlothar III actually died around 673 at the age of 20 or 21, having ascended the throne of Neustria and Burgundy in 657 under the regency of his mother, Queen Bathilda. This type of chronological discrepancy is very common and representative of the historical prints produced during the Baroque and Enlightenment periods.
