Retrato de medio cuerpo del general Don Jaime García Conde con uniforme militar. Aparece ligeramente girado hacia la derecha, con la mirada fija en el espectador. Luce cabello corto y rizado, y patillas prominentes. Viste una chaqueta militar de cuello alto con elaborados bordados en el cuello y las solapas delanteras, sobre una faja en la cintura.

Enrique de Lorena, I Duque de Guisa fue un noble y militar francés, encabezó el bando católico en las guerras de religión de Francia.

Henry of Lorraine, 1st Duke of Guise was a French nobleman and military man who led the Catholic side in the French Wars of Religion.

 Retrato de busto en tres cuartos orientado a la derecha. Viste un jubón oscuro acuchillado con finos bordados, acompañado de una lechuguilla (fraise) de encaje almidonado alrededor del cuello y una fina cadena pectoral metálica. Presenta bigote y perilla recortados.

Three-quarter bust portrait facing right. He wears a dark, slashed doublet with fine embroidery, accompanied by a starched lace ruff around the neck and a fine metal pectoral chain. He has a trimmed mustache and goatee.

Calixto II de nombre secular Guido de Borgoña, hijo del conde Guillermo I de Borgoña fue el 162 papa de la iglesia católica entre 1119 y 1124.

Calixto II, whose secular name was Guido de Borgoña, son of Count William I of Burgundy, was the 162 Pope of the Catholic Church between 1119 and 1124.

ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY

Indumentaria y atributos: 

Retrato en busto de tres cuartos de un pontífice tonsurado con palio papal (pallium) sobre las vestiduras litúrgicas, decorado con cruces griegas o pattées.

Heráldica: 

En el ángulo superior izquierdo figura el escudo papal fajado/partido timbrado con la tiara pontificia y las llaves de San Pedro cruzadas en sotuer.

Estilo: 

Estilo clasicista académico característico del proyecto monumental de retratos papales editado en Francia durante el siglo XIX para ilustrar obras históricas sobre la Santa Sede.
