JEAN BAPTISTE FRANCOIS ROSIER  ( 1734 - 1793 )

Jean Baptiste Francois Rosier fue un botánico, naturalista y agrónomo Francés, Señor de Chèvreville y Prior comendador de Nanteuil Le-Haudouin, miembro de la Academia de Ciencias de Francia y de Suecia, aistio entusiasta al principio de la revolución Francesa, solicitando ante las camaras la creación de una escuela de agricultura i botánica, falleció en Lyon a causa de una bomba durante la revuelta de 1793.

Jean Baptiste Francois Rosier was a French botanist, naturalist and agronomist, Lord of Chèvreville and Prior Commander of Nanteuil Le-Haudouin, member of the Academy of Sciences of France and Sweden, enthusiastically attended the beginning of the French Revolution, requesting before the chambers the creation of a school of agriculture and botany, died in Lyon because of a bomb during the revolt of 1793.

El abad Rozier aparece representado de perfil hacia la izquierda, en un busto clásico de mármol sobre un monumental pedestal cilíndrico.

Vestimenta:

Se le muestra con sus bandas clericales (rabat), lo que evidencia su formación eclesiástica, si bien su legado está firmemente arraigado en las ciencias físicas.

Inscripción:

El pedestal lleva su nombre, simplemente «ROSIER», grabado en el friso.

He is shown wearing his clerical bands (rabat), identifying his ecclesiastical background, though his legacy is firmly rooted in the physical sciences. Inscription:

The pedestal features his name simply inscribed as "ROSIER" across the frieze.

Charles Louis de Secondat, Señor de la Brede, Barón de Montesquieu, miembro de la Sociedad Prusiana de Ciencias, de la Academia Francesa de letras , de la Royal Society y consejero del parlamento de Burdeos, fue un Filosofo, Historiador, viajero y Político de la ilustración  Francesa de notable trascendencia, desarrollo la teoría de la separación de poderes del estado.

Charles Louis de Secondat, Sieur de la Brede, Baron de Montesquieu, member of the Prussian Society of Sciences, of the French Academy of Letters, of the Royal Society and councilor of the parliament of Bordeaux, was a philosopher, historian, traveler and politician of the French Enlightenment of notable importance, he developed the theory of the separation of powers of the state.
