Melchior Mosensis fue un predicador protestante nació alrededor de 1605 en Nuremberg, cursó estudios ckásicos y teológicos durante las primeras dñecadas del siglo XVII un periodo marcado por el inicio de la guerra de los treinta años, ejerció como pastor Luterano en la imperial ciudad de Nuremberg
Fue nombrado predicador en la iglesia parroquial de San Bartolomé (ad D. Bartholomæi), ubicada en el distrito suburbano de Wöhrd, a las afueras de las murallas de Núremberg.
Mantuvo estrechas relaciones profesionales y personales con destacados teólogos franconios, en particular con Johannes Michael Dilherr (1604-1669), influyente párroco de San Sebaldo, director del sistema escolar de Núremberg y profesor de teología y filosofía.

Melchior Mosensis was a Protestant preacher born around 1605 in Nuremberg. He pursued classical and theological studies during the first decades of the 17th century, a period marked by the beginning of the Thirty Years' War. He served as a Lutheran pastor in the imperial city of Nuremberg.
He was appointed preacher at the parish church of St. Bartholomew (ad D. Bartholomæi), located in the suburban district of Wöhrd, just outside the Nuremberg city walls.
He maintained close professional and personal relationships with prominent Franconian theologians, particularly Johannes Michael Dilherr (1604–1669), the influential parish priest of St. Sebald, head of the Nuremberg school system, and professor of theology and philosophy.
