La asunción de la virgen es un grabado de estilo plenamente barroco.
La composición presenta a la figura central con los brazos abiertos en un gesto de entrega y éxtasis místico, mirando hacia un foco de luz divina superior que rompe entre densas nubes. Está sostenida y rodeada por un grupo de angelotes (putti) y ángeles mancebos detallados con un dinamismo muy característico de la escuela pictórica y de grabadores de la Europa central o mediterránea de esa época (con influencias que recuerdan a las composiciones de maestros como Rubens, Guido Reni o Murillo).

She is supported and surrounded by a group of cherubs (putti) and young angels, rendered with a dynamism highly characteristic of the painting and engraving schools of Central and Mediterranean Europe of that period (with influences reminiscent of the compositions of masters such as Rubens, Guido Reni and Murillo).
