Febraurius o febrero en el calendario Gregoriano es el segundo mes mas corto del año, fue llamado así en honor a las Februas, el festival Romano de la purificación que se celebraba cada 15 de febrero en la denominadas fiestas Lupercales, posteriormente el Dios Romano Februus considerado la deidad de los muertos y la purificación personifico el mes de febrero, en la Iglésia Católica este mes esta dedicado a la Sagrada Família y al Espíritu Santo.
