René François Rohbacher fue un eclesiástico, historiador de la iglésia y  teólogo Francés.

 Atributos y vestimenta:

Viste soutane eclesiástica con sotana y rabat tradicional. En la mano derecha sostiene una pluma de ave sobre un pliego de papel donde se lee, en dirección invertida/lectura frontal desde la perspectiva del espectador, la inscripción relativa a su obra principal: Histoire universelle de l'Église catholique. 

 Emblema inferior: 

Viñeta central alegórica con una encuadernación abierta, cáliz, cruz, tintero con plumas, rosas y un breviario, flanqueada por las fechas y lugares de nacimiento y defunción.

He wears an ecclesiastical cassock with a traditional rebaptismal cap. In his right hand, he holds a quill pen over a sheet of paper on which, in reverse (read from the viewer's perspective), is the inscription relating to his principal work: Histoire universelle de l'Église catholique (Universal History of the Catholic Church). Lower emblem:

Central allegorical vignette with an open bookbinding, chalice, cross, inkwell with quills, roses, and a breviary, flanked by the dates and places of his birth and death.
