Talla dulce / grabado a buril sobre cobre. Muestra la característica modulación limpia de líneas en los sombreados del rostro y los drapeados de la indumentaria, combinada con un fino trabajo de entramado en el fondo del óvalo.
Engraving on copper. It shows the characteristic clean modulation of lines in the shading of the face and the drapery of the clothing, combined with a fine latticework in the background of the oval.

Este tipo de retratos seriados y numerados con marcos ovales y escudos heráldicos familiares (en las esquinas se aprecian los blasones de linajes emparentados o antecesores como Welser, Stuben, Baumgartner y Rehmbold) formaban habitualmente parte de crónicas locales, anales del patriciado o colecciones de vidas de los gobernantes de Augsburgo (como los conocidos repertorios de magistrados locales impresos en la primera mitad del siglo XVII). La numeración fija la estampa como la plancha número 19 de dicha serie de retratos.

These types of serialized and numbered portraits with oval frames and family coats of arms (the corners display the blazons of related lineages or ancestors such as Welser, Stuben, Baumgartner, and Rehmbold) were commonly included in local chronicles, patriciate annals, or collections of biographies of Augsburg's rulers (such as the well-known directories of local magistrates printed in the first half of the 17th century). The numbering identifies this print as plate number 19 in this series of portraits.
