Blanca of Castile was an Infanta of Spain, daughter of Alfonso VIII of Castile and Eleanor of Plantagenet, and was also Queen Consort of France through her marriage to Louis VIII.

Disposición general:
Retrato de busto en perfil estricto hacia la izquierda, inscrito en una orla ovalada (tondo) que descansa sobre un zócalo o cartela barroca flanqueada por ornamentación vegetal.
Tocado y atributos reales:
Luce una corona real abierta decorada con florones sobre un velo ajustado que cae por el cogote y la espalda, símbolo clásico de la condición matronal y reina viuda.
Vestimenta:
Viste un manto regio abotonado al cuello con cuello levantado y forro de armiño (símbolo de dignidad real), portado sobre un corpiño ajustado con finos pliegues en el escote.
Elementos ornamentales:
La cartela inferior presenta un diseño arquitectónico con grandes volutas contrapuestas (enrollamientos) y hojas de acanto profundamente talladas. En las enjutas exteriores del óvalo se observan motivos florales y frutales estilizados sobre un fondo de rayado horizontal Denotando el vocabulario decorativo del grabado francés del siglo XVII.

Bust portrait in strict profile facing left, inscribed within an oval frame (tondo) resting on a Baroque plinth or cartouche flanked by vegetal ornamentation.

She wears a royal mantle buttoned at the neck with a raised collar and ermine lining (a symbol of royal dignity), worn over a fitted bodice with fine pleats at the neckline.
Ornamental elements:
The lower cartouche features an architectural design with large, opposing volutes (scrolls) and deeply carved acanthus leaves.
