Jean le Rond D'Alembert fue una de las máximas figuras de la ilustración Francesa, impulsor junto con Denis Diderot de la creación de la enciclopedia, matematico, filosofo y teorico de la música fue nombrado en 1722 secretario perpetuo de la Académia Francesa, miembro de la Academia de Ciencias de Turín, de la Academia Prusiana de Ciencias y de la Royal Society entre otras instituciones, abordó las matemáticas a través de la física, falleció en París en 1817.
Jean le Rond d'Alembert was a one of the greatest figures of The French Enlightenment, promoter together with Denis Diderot of the creation of The Encyclopedia. mathematician, philosopher and music theorist, he was appointed in 1772 perpetual secretary of the French Academy. member of the Academy os Sciences or Turin, ot The Prussian Academy of Sciences and of The Royal Society among other institutions he approached mathematics through physics, he died in Parisin 1817.
