UNA ESCENA BIBLICA
Una escena de una crónica contemporánea o medieval que representa una campaña militar, o un tratado entre diferentes facciones.

ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY :
El medio: Las líneas fuertes y relativamente gruesas, el sombreado con líneas paralelas y las ligeras irregularidades en los bordes sugieren claramente un grabado en madera, más que un grabado en metal. Posee el encanto característico de las ilustraciones de libros de principios de la Edad Moderna (comunes en las imprentas alemanas, italianas y españolas del siglo XVI).
El escenario: Un campamento militar o un asentamiento nómada. A la izquierda se aprecian numerosas tiendas de campaña detalladas, a la derecha una gran tienda con dosel o pabellón ornamentado, y al fondo un paisaje montañoso con una bandada de pájaros en el cielo.
La figura central: Un hombre barbudo con atuendo militar o nobiliario clásico o estilizado se encuentra en el centro. Sostiene un largo bastón o vara de mando levantado hacia la izquierda, mientras se dirige a un grupo de hombres.
El séquito: A la derecha, un grupo de figuras con largas túnicas y tocados distintivos (algunos parecidos a turbantes o gorros orientales) lo escuchan o consultan con él. En el extremo izquierdo, un grupo más pequeño de soldados o seguidores se encuentra reunido cerca de las tiendas de campaña.

The Medium: The strong, relatively thick lines, parallel hatching for shading, and slight irregularities in the borders point directly to a woodcut rather than a metal engraving. It has the distinct charm of Early Modern book illustrations (common in German, Italian, or Spanish printing presses of the 1500s).
The Setting: A military encampment or a nomadic settlement. You can see numerous detailed tents (tiendas de campaña) on the left, a large, ornate canopy or pavilion tent on the right, and a hilly landscape in the background with a flock of birds in the sky.
The Central Figure: A bearded man in classical or stylized military/noble attire stands at the center. He is holding a long staff or baton of command raised toward the left, while addressing a group of men.
The Entourage: To the right, a group of figures in long robes and distinct headgear (some resembling turbans or eastern caps) are listening to or consulting with him. On the far left, a smaller group of soldiers or followers is gathered near the tents.
