La Virgen María, sentada en alto, sostiene al Niño Jesús en su regazo. Debajo de ella se encuentra el joven San Juan Bautista, reconocible por su túnica de pelo de camello y su báculo con cruz.
Santos a los lados:
San Francisco de Asís (a la izquierda, arrodillado con hábito franciscano) y San Jerónimo (a la derecha, con hábito monástico).
Detalles arquitectónicos y decorativos:
La escena se desarrolla bajo un imponente arco veneciano con una pesada columna estriada y un intrincado fondo de drapeados, característico del estilo veneciano del Alto Renacimiento de Paolo Veronese.

The Virgin Mary sits elevated, holding the Infant Jesus on her lap. Below her stands the young Saint John the Baptist, recognizable by his camel-hair tunic and cross staff.

La publicación de la obra Galerie du Musée Napoleón fue un importante catalogo del Louvre ilustrado de forma lujosa durante la época Napoleónica entre los años 1805 y 1810 por Antoine Filhol , durante la cual el Louvre fue conocido como Galerie Musée Napoleón , enriquecido con los diferentes botines de guerra se convirtió en el mejor museo del mundo , algunos de sus nuevos fondos fueron repatriados tras el tratado de Viena de 1815, dejando la presente obra como testimonio de su breve apogeo, sus grabados fueron realizados por los mas ilustres e importantes artistas de la Francia del momento.
