ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY
Tomás de Villanueva:
Representado en el medallón oval superior con vestiduras clericales, identificando al santo, erudito y arzobispo agustino de Valencia conocido como Elemosinario.
Prudencia (Izquierda):
Personificada por una figura femenina que sostiene un espejo (símbolo de autoconocimiento y prudencia) y una serpiente.
Fe/Religión (Derecha):
Representada por una figura femenina que porta una maqueta de una iglesia o relicario y sostiene una cruz o báculo.
Escudo papal:
Situado en la parte inferior central, sostenido por dos putti alados sentados, que indican la autorización o dedicación papal.
Emblemas agustinos:
Los paneles a ambos lados de la base presentan el corazón atravesado por una flecha y coronado por una cruz, emblema central de la Orden de San Agustín.
Arquitectura clásica:
Estructurada como un frontispicio triunfal romano con un frontón partido, ángeles alados, columnas y una base de pedestal grabada.
Thomas of Villanova:
Depicted in the top oval portrait medallion wearing clerical vestments, identifying the saint, scholar, and Augustinian Archbishop of Valencia known as Elemosinario (The Almsgiver).
Prudence (Left):
Personified by a female figure holding a mirror (symbol of self-knowledge and circumspection) and a serpent.
Faith / Religion (Right):
Represented by a female figure carrying a model of a church or reliquary shrine and holding a tall cross or staff.
Papal Coat of Arms: Positioned at the bottom center, supported by two seated winged putti, signaling papal authorization or dedication.
Augustinian Emblems:
Panels on either side of the base feature the heart pierced by an arrow and topped with a cross, the central emblem of the Order of Saint Augustine.
Classical Architecture:
Structured as a Roman triumphal frontispiece with a broken pediment, winged angels, columns, and an engraved pedestal base.
