La estampa representa la escena bíblica de la Caída del Hombre (la Tentación de Adán y Eva en el Jardín del Edén). Adán se encuentra a la izquierda en una postura de contrapposto con un brazo levantado hacia la cabeza, mientras que Eva está a la derecha bajo una frondosa higuera. Enroscada alrededor del tronco central se encuentra la serpiente, representada con una cabeza o torso humano que emerge de las escamas, volviéndose hacia Eva mientras ella extiende una mano hacia atrás.
The print depicts the Biblical scene of the Fall of Man (Temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden). Adam stands on the left in a contrapposto pose with one arm raised toward his head, while Eve stands on the right beneath a lush fig tree. Coiled around the central tree trunk is the serpent, represented with a human-like head or torso emerging from the scales, turning toward Eve as she reaches backward with one hand.

Eauforte (etching), posiblemente combinado con retoques de buril, propio de los siglos XVII o XVIII. Las líneas de los sombreados en el follaje del árbol y en los cuerpos muestran el dinamismo y la soltura de la mordida del ácido, diferenciándose de la rigidez puramente geométrica del buril renacentista.
Etching, possibly combined with burin work, typical of the 17th or 18th centuries. The lines of the shading on the tree foliage and on the figures show the dynamism and freedom of the acid etching, differing from the purely geometric rigidity of Renaissance burin work.

Because of its classicist style in the anatomy of the nudes and the treatment of the background landscape, the piece fits well within the currents of illustration of sacred books, historical chronicles or suites of biblical themes published in the 17th centuries in central European or French workshops.
