L'HOMME SENSUEL

L'Homme Sensuel o Allegoria del Vicio es un oleo sobre tela realizado en 1531 por Antonio Correggio ( 1489? - 1534) y conservado en el Museo del Louvre de Paris, fue posiblemente la segunda de una serie de lienzos realizados por correggio para decorar las estancias privadas de Isabel de Este, tras la muerte de esta en 1539 y el posterior desmantelamiento de sus aposentos en 1629 el cuadro paso a manos del Rey Carlos I de Inglaterra ( 1600 - 1649), en 1628 el coleccionista de arte y banquero Everhard Jabach ( 1618 - 1695), adquirió el lienzo para la colección privada del Rey Luis XIV de Francia.

L'Homme Sensuel or Allegory of Vice is an oil on canvas painted in 1531 by Antonio Correggio ( 1489? - 1534) and preserved in the Louvre Museum in Paris, was possibly the second of a series of canvases made by Correggio to decorate the private rooms of Elizabeth of Este, after her death in 1539 and the subsequent dismantling of her apartments in 1629 the painting passed into the hands of King Charles I of England (1600 - 1649), in 1628 the art collector and banker Everhard Jabach (1618 - 1695), acquired the canvas for the private collection of King Louis XIV of France.

La publicación de la obra Galerie du Musée Napoleón fue un importate catalogo del Louvre iustrado de forma lujosa durante la epoca Napoleonica entre los años 1805 y 1810 por Antoine Filhol , durante la cual el Louvre fue conocido como Galerie Musée Napoleón , enriquecido con los diferentes botines de guerra se convirtió en el mejor museo del mundo , algunos de sus nuevos fondos fueron repatriados tras el tratado de Viena de 1815, dejando la presente obra como testimonio de su breve apogeo, sus grabados fueron realizados por los mas ilustres e importantes artistas del momento.

The publication of the work Galerie du Musée Napoleon was an important illustrated catalog of the Louvre and published in the Napoleonic era between 1805 and 1810 by Antoine Filhol, during which it was known as Galerie Musée Napoleon, enriched with the various spoils of war became the best museum in the world, some of its new funds were repatriated after the Treaty of Vienna in 1815, leaving this work as testimony of its brief heyday, his prints were made by the most illustrious and important artists of the time.

Pierre de Selve o Pierre de Montegut fue un eclesiástico francés nombrado Cardenal de Pamplona aún que nunca fue consagrado, prebospe de la abadia de Saint Pierre de L, llle, Canonigo de los Capitulos Catedralicios de Amiens, Elme y Avranches, tesorero de la Catedral de Bayeux, protonotario apostolico y capellan de su tio el Papa Inocencio VI, Canciller de la Santa Iglésia, vicecanciller en el conclave papal de 1362 en el que fue elegido el Papa Urbano V el cual le nombro protoprebistero de Avignon, en 1370 tomo parte en el conclave en que fue elegido Gregorio XI. Apoyo al antipapa clemente VII en el denominado cisma de occidente.

Falleció en 1385 y fue enterrado en la abadía de Notre-Dame du val de Benediction de Villenueve-lès Avignon.
