This print corresponds to a very interesting and dense allegorical and mythological composition, whose spatial structure and stylistic complexity directly refer to the editorial illustrations of the 16th or 17th centuries, most likely conceived as a frontispiece or general opening engraving for an edition of Ovid's Metamorphoses or a similar mythological compendium.
