Jacques Callot , nacido en Lorraine , fue un grabador de renombre en la Europa del Siglo del Siglo XVII especializado en la Técnica a Buril y Aguafuerte, estudio el arte del  grabado en Roma ((1609) donde obtuvo el mecenazgo de Cosme II de Médicis, en 1612 se tiene constancia de su traslado a Florencia recibiendo importantes encargos de la Infanta Isabel Clara Eugenia y el Marques de Spinola, entre otros dignatarios de la época, viajo por Los Paises Bajos Españoles y la Francia de Luis XIII falleció en 1635 en la ciudad de Florencia ?  o Nancy ? a la edad de 43 años.

Jacques Callot, born in Lorraine, was a renowned engraver in the Europe of the XVII century, specialized in the technique of etching and engraving, he studied the art of engraving in Rome (1609) where he obtained the patronage of Cosimo II de Medici, In 1612 he moved to Florence where he received important commissions from the Infanta Isabel Clara Eugenia and the Marquis of Spinola, among other dignitaries of the time. He traveled through the Spanish Netherlands and the France of Louis XIII and died in 1635 in the city of Florence ? or Nancy ? at the age of 43 years old. or Nancy ? at the age of 43.

Francis Egerton, tercer Duque de Bridgewater, fue un noble e industrial Ingles,  responsable de la construcción del Canal Bridgewater de Manchester e impulsor de la revolución industrial del siglo XVIII en dicha ciudad.

Francis Egerton, third Duke of Bridgewater, was an English nobleman and industrialist, responsible for the construction of the Bridgewater Canal in Manchester and the driving force behind the industrial revolution of the eighteenth century in that city.

Guillaume Jouvenel, Baron de Trainiel, Lord de Marigny, Vizconde de Troyes, Señor de Autry, St. Brissson, Perroy y Lamotte-Jousserand, Canciller de Finanzas del Rey Carlos VII de Francia, Alguacil de Sens, Lugarteniente del Gobernador de  Dauphine y Canciller de  Francia de 1466 hasta su muerte en 1472.

Guillaume Jouvenel, Baron of Trainiel, Lord of Marigny, Viscount of Troyes, Lord of Autry, St. Brissson, Perroy and Lamotte-Jousserand, Chancellor of Finances of King Charles VII of France, Bailiff of Sens, Lieutenant to the Governor of Dauphine and Chancellor of France from 1466 until his death in 1472.

ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY:

Este grabado es una reproducción posterior basada en el famoso retrato al óleo del siglo XV de Jean Fouquet, pintado entre 1460 y 1465 (actualmente conservado en el Museo del Louvre). La estampa reproduce fielmente a Jouvenel des Ursins de perfil, capturando sus rasgos faciales característicos, su pelo corto y su túnica forrada de piel, pero lo sitúa dentro de un marco arquitectónico ovalado clasicista del siglo XVIII.

This engraving is a later reproduction based on the famous 15th-century oil portrait by Jean Fouquet, painted around 1460–1465 (currently housed in the Musée du Louvre). The print faithfully reproduces Jouvenel des Ursins in profile/three-quarters view, capturing his characteristic facial features, short hair, and fur-lined robe, but places him within a classicizing 18th-century oval architectural frame.

Julio Cesar, (Gaius Lucius Caesar) fue una de las figuras mas celebres de la Roma antigua gran estratega militar, político, orador y prosista, sus gestas militares le dieron fama de invencible,  fue el máximo representante de la República Romana del periodo de transición (49-29 a C),murió asesinado en el senado Romano.

Julius Caesar, (Gaius Lucius Caesar) was one of the most famous figures of ancient Rome great military strategist, politician, orator and prose writer, his military exploits gave him a reputation of invincible, was the highest representative of the Roman Republic of the transition period (49-29 BC), died assassinated in the Roman Senate.

ICONOGRAFÍA / ICONOGRAPHY:

César aparece de perfil derecho, con un estilo inspirado en la moneda romana clásica (el denario). Luce la tradicional corona de laurel (corona triumphalis) atada a la espalda. Sus rasgos faciales —la prominente nariz aguileña, el ojo hundido y la mandíbula marcada— están muy estilizados para proyectar una autoridad y determinación severas.

Caesar is shown in right profile, styled after classical Roman coinage (the denarius). He wears the traditional laurel wreath (corona triumphalis) tied at the back. The facial features—the prominent aquiline nose, deep-set eye, and pronounced jawline—are heavily stylized to project severe authority and determination.
