This print is a fascinating 18th-century copperplate engraving, undoubtedly of the French school, depicting the biblical scene of the Last Judgment and the Resurrection of the Dead.
At the bottom, the inscription in Old French reads:
"Au son de la trompette nous ressusciterons tous mais nous ne serons pas tous changez. Cor. 15"
This text translates the famous biblical passage from the First Epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians (Chapter 15, verse 51). In French translations of the time (such as the famous Sacy Bible from the second half of the 17th century), the verse was often worded this way, alluding to the mystery of the resurrection of the body and the transformation of bodies for eternity
