Tannegui du Chatel fue un militar francés duranye la guerra de los cien años .

Tannegui du Chatel was a French soldier during the hundred years'war.

El protagonista:

Tanneguy IV du Châtel (fallecido en 1477), vizconde de La Bellière. Era sobrino del célebre Tanneguy du Châtel (preboste de París). Gozó de gran influencia en la corte, destacando el hecho de haber sostenido en brazos al moribundo Carlos VII y, posteriormente, de convertirse en lugarteniente de confianza de Luis XI. Murió durante el asedio de Bouchain en 1477.

Características:

Se le representa con atuendo cortesano de mediados del siglo XV, luciendo un sombrero de ala ancha estilo chaperón y un pesado cuello ceremonial con eslabones entrelazados y un medallón ovalado central, que denota su elevado estatus aristocrático y militar.

The Subject:

Tanneguy IV du Châtel (died 1477), Viscount of La Bellière. He was the nephew of the famous Tanneguy du Châtel (provost of Paris). He was highly influential at court, notably holding the dying Charles VII in his arms and later becoming a trusted lieutenant to Louis XI. He was killed at the siege of Bouchain in 1477.

Attributes:

He is depicted in mid-15th-century courtly attire, wearing a wide-brimmed chaperon-style hat and a heavy ceremonial collar featuring interlocking links and a central oval medallion, denoting his high aristocratic and military status.

La última cena es la última comida que según los evangelios Jesús compartió con sus apóstoles antes de ser crucificado, la última cena es una de la representaciones bíblicas mas representadas en la historia de arte, siendo la escena mas común la representación de Jesús en el centro bendiciendo el pan y el vino rodeado de sus doce apóstoles.

La Santísima Trinidad es el principal dogma en la mayoría de Iglesias Cristianas fundamentado en el misterio de un dolo Dios, en tres persona divinas distintas, el padre. el hijo y el espíritu Santo.

The Holy Trinity is the main dogma in most Christian Churches based on the mystery of one god in three distinct divine persons, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit

• Registro Superior (La Corte Celestial):

  • En el eje central destaca la Santísima Trinidad, representada con la paloma del Espíritu Santo irradiando luz en la parte superior, flanqueada por las figuras de Dios Padre (con el cetro y el globo terráqueo que simboliza el Salvator Mundi o la soberanía divina) y Dios Hijo.

  • A los lados, arrodillados en actitud de intercesión (Deësis), se distinguen la Virgen María (a la izquierda) y muy probablemente San Juan Bautista o San José (a la derecha).

  • 
    

  • Registro Inferior (La Asamblea de los Santos):

    • Rey David:

    • Perfectamente identificable a la izquierda sosteniendo su arpa, coronado como rey de Israel y salmista.

    • Un Papa:

    • En primer plano central, portando la tiara papal (triregno) y el manto pluvial. Por la fisionomía y el contexto de los Doctores de la Iglesia, bien podría tratarse de San Gregorio Magno o San Pedro.

    • Santo Penitente / Ermitaño:

    • A la izquierda del Papa, un hombre anciano de larga barba, torso parcialmente descubierto, en una postura que evoca a San Jerónimo o San Pedro en lágrimas.

    • Un Diácono / Mártir:

    • A la derecha, un santo joven con dalmática, sosteniendo lo que parece ser una palma de martirio o una pluma de doctor (evocando a figuras como San Lorenzo o San Esteban). En la base, querubines sostienen los atributos o decoran la base de las nubes.

  Upper Register (The Heavenly Court): The Holy Trinity stands out in the central axis, represented by the dove of the Holy Spirit radiating light at the top, flanked by the figures of God the Father (with the scepter and the globe symbolizing Salvator Mundi, or divine sovereignty) and God the Son.

  • On either side, kneeling in an attitude of intercession (Deesis), are the Virgin Mary (on the left) and very likely Saint John the Baptist or Saint Joseph (on the right).

  • Lower Register (The Assembly of Saints): King David: Easily identifiable on the left, holding his harp, crowned as King of Israel and psalmist. A Pope: In the central foreground, wearing the papal tiara (triregnum) and cope. Based on his features and the context of the Doctors of the Church, this could well be Saint Gregory the Great or Saint Peter. Penitent Saint / Hermit:

    To the left of the Pope, an elderly man with a long beard, his torso partially exposed, in a pose reminiscent of Saint Jerome or Saint Peter in tears.
    A Deacon / Martyr:
    On the right, a young saint in a dalmatic, holding what appears to be a martyr's palm or a doctor's quill (evoking figures such as Saint Lawrence or Saint Stephen). At the base, cherubs hold the attributes or decorate the base of the clouds.

Se trata de un grabado calcográfico, ejecutado principalmente al burín con sutiles retoques de aguafuerte para las zonas de sombreado más suave en las nubes. El trabajo de líneas cruzadas (tallas cruzadas) define los volúmenes de los ropajes con gran rigor formal, propio del estilo europeo de finales del siglo XVII o de la primera mitad del siglo XVIII.

This is a copperplate engraving, executed primarily with a burin and subtle etching for the softer shading in the clouds. The cross-hatching defines the volumes of the garments with great formal rigor, typical of the European style of the late 17th or early 18th century.
